Our Crowdfunding Groups
Thank you for considering helping the OU Sailing Club! Our club is comprised of over 30 students from a variety of majors, genders, nationalities,and backgrounds that share a passion for sailing. We meet every week at the Lake Thunderbird Boathouse and learn the basics of small boat sailing. Recently we have grown rapidly and would like to start a racing team, which requires us to refit and fix a donated boat, a Club 420. This involves trailer repairs, new gear to manage lines, minor hull repairs, and new sails. Additionally, we would like to buy some wetsuits for our club. By donating, you would expand the activities we are able to offer as well as enhance the teamwork and strategies our members could participate in. No matter your ability to donate, you can always help by sharing this campaign with your friends, family, and colleagues! Thank you so much for your effort and we are grateful of your help.
With your donation of $5, you would be facilitating the day-to-day operations of our club as well as help cover miscellaneous repair costs!
By contributing $20, we are able to buy things such as deck fittings for our 420 refit or help subsidize the semester dues of a student who is otherwise unable to join! Your contribution goes a long way!
By providing $50, you help pay for larger components of our refit, such as a fiberglass repair kit, trailer fittings, and sheets (lines for the boats). Your donation can also buy a wetsuit, extending our sailing season.
Your donation of $100 helps towards large purchases, such as sails, trapeze setups, gel-coats, etc toward repairing our 420 sailboat. Your donation can also offset the insurance bill for our boats!
If you have made it this far, you truly are the captain of our hearts. A $500 donation would offset the insurance cost of our whole club by one year. It would also facilitate numerous scholarships, and could buy half a brand-new set of racing sails.
