From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU! Not only were we able to reach our initial goal of $6,000, but we succeeded in reaching (and surpassing) our second goal of $7,500. The contributions made by each and every person are greatly appreciated. Kurtis Barton was an incredible individual who left a very big impact on the hearts of many. These funds will go far in awarding scholarships to students demonstrating similar characteristics to those he possessed. Again, thank you for your support in helping keep Kurtis's legacy and memory alive. We will post another update once scholarships are awarded, so stay tuned!

On behalf of the entire team that has worked so hard to create this project in Kurtis Barton's memory, thank you! On Monday, Aug. 1, the initial goal of $6,000 was reached. Each gift has been instrumental in helping make this campaign a success. With eight days left, the team has set a new goal to reach $7,500, so that they may give away an additional scholarship. Currently, the campaign is just over $6,200, making this new goal is very much attainable!

Thank you again from the entire project team, as well as Kurtis's family and friends. What an honorable and GOOD way to celebrate his memory! If you're inclined, please feel free to share this project so that we can provide even more in scholarship funding!

Here we are just over half way through this scholarship campaign with nearly 85% of the funds raised. It's been very exciting to watch this project grow. We as a family are filled with gratitude towards each of you who have donated -- we are so honored that you wish to share in helping Kurtis' legacy of faith, service and friendship, live on.

Today, we hear so much of the negative in our society, and here is an opportunity to know of and share in the GOOD. Please take the time to share this site with others you know, and of course, donate yourself if you have not.

Thankyou everyone who has donated! Contributions have come from as far as Kurtis's hometown in Washington to his classmates and colleagues at OU College of Dentistry! Even reaching areas in-between, like the location of his missionary service  in Las Vegas, Nevada.

With great momentum in the first days of the campaign, we ask for another push as we strive to get this information out to those whose life Kurtis had touched. Although 1/3 of the way to the goal, we still have area to cover if we are to successfully create this scholarship.
