We've selected the 2017 N.E.W. Leadership Class!

We are excited to welcome them to the University of Oklahoma campus on May 19th. The next five days will be packed with fun filled activities and engaging speakers. The program will culminate on May 23rd with our EmPower Lunch, where we will celebrate this year's class along with alumnae, donors, and faculty from the program, as well as, student mentors and community members. It is sure to be an inspiring event.

We are excited to continue the planning for the upcoming institute and look forward to sharing more with you in May!

We got to 100% on our fundraising campaign! But we’re still not done!

We are thankful to those who helped us answer Pat Potts’ challenge to raise the remaining 10% we needed to fulfill our goal for this campaign. She has promised to match these donations, which will take us over that 100% mark! Pat Potts has been a longtime supporter of N.E.W. Leadership and recognizes that women are important advocates for the issues of education and children. Her support means a lot to us, especially coming from one of Oklahoma’s leading women and the 2012 Journal Record Woman of the Year.

Even though Pat’s contribution will take us over 100%, this will not cover all of the expenses of the 36-40 undergraduate women who attend this life-changing leadership opportunity. Every $500 over our original goal covers another attendee and will keep this program free to our students. It is our aim to ensure there is no financial barrier to any woman’s attendance, and your donations help make that goal a reality!

We still have two days to go until the end of our campaign, so there’s still plenty of time left to meet our stretch goals! How many students can we fully fund before our campaign ends?

A special message from our Director, Dr. Cindy Simon Rosenthal:

In honor of our 15 classes of N.E.W. Leadership graduates, I am asking our alums to tackle the #15More challenge.  For each donation of at least $15 from a N.E.W. Leadership grad to our Thousand Strong campaign,  I will donate another $15 to the effort. With 50 of our 500 grads participating, we would be at 75% of our overall goal.  With 100 of our 500 grads participating, we would meet our campaign goal.  If everyone participates, we will insure the N.E.W. Leadership experience for 2017 and beyond.  #15More by December 15; let’s do it!

We have just learned that a donor has offered a substantial gift to our campaign this weekend. This donor has challenged us to raise $2,500 by Giving Tuesday, November 29th, and they will send a matching gift of another $2,500. We could meet 50% of our overall goal in just the first 8 days of our campaign!!

We are currently at $1,820 with just a little over a day to reach that $2,500 mark. Please help us reach this milestone!

There are hundreds of Oklahoma undergraduate women giving thanks for this program and hoping it will continue. Please help us reach this amount so we can make this campaign a success!
