Thank you so much to everyone who contributed to the College of Arts and Sciences scholarship fund on OU's first Giving Day yesterday! We appreciate your support and all that you have done for the college. 

We raised $18,645 total, all in one day!! Giving Day would not have been such a huge success without each and every one of you! Thank you for helping us exceed our goal!

Thank you all for helping us successfully reach our goal of $12,000 for OU's first ever Giving Day - with eight hours to spare! We are so thankful for all of our generous donors!

Meet Cassie Gilman, the Executive Director of Development and Outreach for the College of Arts and Sciences Dean's Office. 

Here is what she has to say about Giving Day 2017:

"Giving Day is important to me because being a development officer in a college, I get to directly see the true impact of what gifts can do for our students. Someday I hope to be in a position where I can endow my own scholarship, but I am not at a point in my life where I can write a big check. However, I know my contribution can go a long way when it is coupled with others’ contributions. That is why I will support this program. I have been in that unique situation where I get to tell a student she no longer has to work over 40 hours a week and go to school because we are going to offer her a scholarship so she can focus on her degree. I have seen the smiles and the tears and they are inspiring. Giving the gift of education makes a lasting impact on these students, who will be leading our world, and that is meaningful to me."
