The College of International Studies (CIS), the youngest college on the University of Oklahoma campus, celebrates its sixth anniversary in 2017. CIS is a reflection of OU President David L. Boren and First Lady Molly Shi Boren’s visionary leadership for advancing accessible international studies education opportunities for all students. With a world class learning facility in the beautiful Farzaneh Hall, renowned professors, and three outstanding study centers located in Arezzo, Italy; Puebla, Mexico; and Rio de Janeiro, Brazil; there has never been a better time to the see the world and stay a Sooner!

Most students who travel abroad will need at least one outlet plug converter. This ensures that an electrical appliance from the US to be plugged into the wall outlet of another country.
All study abroad students are required to purchase international health and safety insurance, which costs $1.18 per day.
Anyone wanting to study abroad must pay a $50 application fee that helps the office of Education Abroad with administrative costs.
Many countries require students to obtain a visa allowing them to enter and temporarily remain within the country.
Study abroad program fees range from approximately $1,800-$3,500.
International airfare is one of the largest expenses of study abroad.
