WHAT IS PRSSA?
The Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) is a pre-professional organization that aims to enhance education, broaden networks, and launch careers of students interested in public relations and communications across the nation. The OU PRSSA Chapter provides OU students with the opportunity to connect with and gain insight into the public relations world from local and national organizations.
THE CAUSE:
The OU Stewart Harral Chapter has been selected to host a Regional Conference at the Gaylord College of Journalism and Mass Communication in February 2017. The conference, Find Your Passion Sooner, is one of 10 across the country and the 2nd conference ever to be hosted in this region. The purpose of the regional conference is to provide similar content, professional insight, and networking opportunities at a more affordable cost to students. Attendees can look forward to keynote presentations, breakout sessions, and networking events which will help students stay current on industry news and trends.
OUR GOAL:
Our goal is to provide students with the best speakers, workshops, and resources to help pave the way for future careers in public relations. The conference costs $10,000. The cost of meals, informational packets, and networking events can be quite expensive. Only with your help, will OU PRSSA students be able to plan and execute a successful conference which will impact the bright future of OU young public relations professionals.
