Offering three majors and six minors, The Department of Political Science is an academic launch pad for students seeking skill sets in a variety of careers. Our students have ample options from our majors in Political Science and Public & Nonprofit Administration, to our minors in Elections & Campaign Management and Intelligence & National Security. Many of our 350 undergrads are national scholars, maintain excellent academic status, and actively participate in student-run organizations such as the PoliSci Club and Student Congress. We take pride in our local and national job placement, which extends to Washington D.C. and beyond. Our graduating seniors pursue degrees in law, and embrace a variety of opportunities including state legislatures and agencies, federal law enforcement, the diplomatic corps, political consulting, and nonprofits.
We are racing to raise money for our scholarship fund. Help the OU Department of Political Science support its students and win the race! Glen Krutz, Daniel Pae, Keith Gaddie, and Tyler Johnson are all participating in a marathon to raise awareness about PoliSci’s student scholarships. Won’t you contribute to the cause and help us win this race?
Donations raised throughout our campaign will directly support student scholarships and graduate fellowships within the Department of Political Science. These scholarships will help us recruit and retain the best and brightest minds, keeping the doors of opportunity open to all future Sooners
Through our campaign, we hope to reach as many people as possible, so please share our campaign link on social media and through email! We appreciate your dedication to the OU Department of Political Science students. Feel free to use our hashtags: #OUPols #OUPoliSci
