Who We Are
The Aster is a student-centered publication, supported by World Literature Today, that provides a platform for celebrating student expression, connecting artists and audiences, and establishing a dynamic web of student creators. We publish poetry, short fiction, photography and visual art, and anything creative that fits into print. Click here to take a look at our website and inaugural issue.
How You Can Help
Last year, we worked with student artists to produce a 48-page review that we distributed online and in a limited print run. Since then interest on campus has boomed as we connect with more readers, writers, and artists. This year, our ambitions have grown: we want to reach more artists and send out more copies to a larger audience.
To that end, we're launching a new website, doubling our print run, and hoping to expand the second volume up to 70 pages. By donating to our project, you will help establish our review for this year and next, laying a foundation for a multi-annual student arts publication at the University of Oklahoma for the first time in decades.
Spread the Word
We believe that student art is worth sharing. Regardless of whether or not you can donate to our project, you can help us by sharing our funding campaign and publication with your friends and family. Together, we can provide a platform to lift budding artists into the world of publishing.
Thank you.
Every dollar you give directly supports a generation of student art, artists, and editors. By joining our project, you're helping establish a unique educational experience at OU, where students come from across disciplines to celebrate creativity. And for that, we thank you.
